Kekoa McClellan, Principal
The McClellan Group (TMG) is led by Kekoa McClellan. As Principal of TMG, Kekoa’s 15 years of experience in Hawai‘i politics and business has launched more than 60 successful political campaigns and four small businesses in Hawai‘i.
He is recognized as one of Hawai‘i’s young business leaders, having been awarded the coveted Pacific Business News’ “40 under 40” and having received the “Outstanding Young Person” award from the Chamber of Commerce.
Kekoa has served on numerous community and corporate boards, is a graduate of The Kamehameha Schools, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hawai'i Pacific University, and earned an Executive MBA from the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. His wife Makana is the Physician and Community Relations Officer at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Honolulu, and together they have three children.
Karen Chang Barr, Administrator
Karen Chang Barr has over thirteen years of executive administrative experience and has also worked as a successful sales and marketing professional. She has served senior level leaders and boards of directors in the public and nonprofit sector. Her agility to navigate people, schedules, processes, as well as her ability to maintain key relationships with public sector and private stakeholders enables her to keep executive leadership focused, organized and connected. Her creative talents and ability to learn new software allows her to scale up, elevate and inform others on behalf of the organization.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai`i, she received her bachelor’s degree from Washington State University. When she’s not working, you’ll find Karen connecting with the community, helping raise visibility to organizations that help keiki, and spending time with her mo‘opuna.
